1. Binamasur-1:
This is a high yielding variety, released in 2001. It has resistance to rust disease. Maturity period ranges between 125-130 days. Plant height varies from 35-40 cm. Maximum seed yield potential is 2.0 tons/ha (av. 1.8 tons/ha). Seed coat colour is black, which is the characteristic feature of this variety. However, its grain colour is normal, i.e., reddish yellow.

5. Binamasur-5:
Binamasur-5 is a high yielding and early maturing lentil variety released in 2011. It has been obtained from irradiating the seeds of BARImasur-4 with 200 Gy dose of gamma rays. Maturity period ranges from 99-104 days. Maximum grain yield is about 2.2 t/ha (av. 2.15 t/ha). Seed size is larger than microsperma type of lentil. The optimum time of sowing ranges from October 25-November 10. Seed contains higher crude protein (29-30%). Dal is red color with good cooking quality. The variety is tolerant to blight and rust diseases. This variety is suitable for cultivation in pulse growing areas of Bangladesh.

6. Binamasur-6:
Binamasur-6 is a high yielding lentil variety released in 2011. It has been obtained from irradiating the seeds of BARImasur-4 with 250 Gy dose of gamma rays. Maturity period ranges from 105-110 days. Maximum grain yield is about 2.0 t/ha (av. 1.95 t/ha). Seed size is larger than microsperma type of lentil. The optimum time of sowing ranges from October 25-November 10. Seed contains higher crude protein (30-31%). Dal is light red color with good cooking quality. The variety is tolerant to blight and rust diseases. This variety is suitable for cultivation in pulse growing areas of Bangladesh.
